Current owner bought the car from a dealer and it did not come with any documentation or receipts. So the description is from his observations.
Originally, this AMX was Caravelle Blue metallic, but it now wears black metallic and white stripes. Age and the amount of bodywork is not known. It does appear to have had bodywork performed on both rear quarter panels and lower sections of each door. The glass is in good condition, and the windows roll up and down. The bumpers appear to have been painted and not replated. Exterior lights function including brake, turn signals, and headlights.
The interior appears to have been redone in a cloth and vinyl combination. Carpeting is new. Dashboard is in good condition, but the tachometer and dashboard lights do not work.
The 343 cu. in. AMC V8 appears to have had some work performed on it including an Edelbrock carburetor, Torker intake manifold, headers, and electronic ignition. It is not known if the engine was rebuilt.
The suspension appears stock with 14” Cragar “Pro Street” wheels (which look like Keystone “Classics”) wearing 205/70R/14 Eagle GT tires.
The AMX starts, shifts, and runs fine. It just needs some TLC to make it a great classic.
