1959 Ford Fairlane 500 Galaxie Sunliner in its original Turquoise and white exterior and matching interior. Power comes from the stock 352 c.i. FE Ford V-8 is rated at 300 h.p. and it is backed by a three-speed manual transmission. Yes, it is a “3 on the tree” as it was called. Also, this Ford did not come with power steering.

Of interest is that this is the first year Ford used the word “Galaxie” for their Fairlane 500 models. It wasn’t until 1962 when Ford’s Fairlane and Galaxie models were separated into two distinctly different styled cars.
The same family has owned it for more than 40 years and it has always been kept in an insulated garage with a concrete floor.
The overall condition of the car is excellent. Most of the body panels are original as well as the paint. At some point in its life the hood was replaced and painted along with the grille and radiator due to some front-end damage. The hood ornament was never replaced so the car looks ‘nosed’.
Outside of some scale on the undercarriage and frame there is no rust or rot anywhere on the car. The floors in both the trunk and passenger areas are excellent and have no holes. Accessory fender skirts are included and look great (see photo).
All the glass is in excellent condition and show no trace of ‘fogging’ or ‘bubbling’.
The convertible top was probably replaced at some point because it looks fantastic. Additionally, the power components of the top are all in place and it was in good working condition when the Ford was last driven. The original boot for the top is also included.
The exterior chrome is in good condition, with some pitting in areas on the bumpers, taillights, and door handles. The stainless-steel trim looks excellent and has no dents or missing pieces. The original hubcaps are NOT included.
The vinyl interior along with the dashboard are original to the Sunliner and look good. The upholstery shows some dirt in areas but no tears, or broken seams. The carpeting looks good, and no holes were evident.
The data plate on the driver’s door pillar reveals the Sunliner was built on April 13, 1959 and came with a 3.56:1 (open) rear differential.
Please note this car is not in running condition primarily because it has not started for over 8 years and the gas is old. The engine is not locked up.
Includes the original jack and lug wrench.
