1957 Ford Thunderbird powered by its original 312 c.i. “Y” block rated at 245 h.p. and backed by the Ford-o-matic 3-speed automatic transmission. Originally purchased new in Los Angeles, CA through Ben Barclay Motors in ‘Flame’ red with a matching interior and top. This Tbird went through a complete ‘frame-on’ restoration approximately 20+ years ago.

This included stripping the car to bare metal and discovering a fairly rust-free body which only needed a small patch panel welded behind each outside rear wheel well. Otherwise, the body is original. The engine compartment, door jams, and trunk are in the factory original red. Records of the build, including the FOMOCO build sheet, receipts, and photographs are included with the car.
Along with the body and paint the engine, transmission, and suspension were rebuilt and a convertible soft top was added since it came from the factory without one. Total mileage since completion is about 2,000.
The overall condition of the car is good. It starts easily, sounds good, solid body and frame, and well maintained, but 20+ years of being kept under a cover on a car port and driven such low mileage has resulted in the Thunderbird wire wheels showing rust (original wheels and hubcaps included), the interior has aged and the exterior chrome is slightly tarnished. The vacuum wipers, turn signals, lights, power seat, power steering, and windows all work. Only the radio and clock do not.
This Thunderbird is reliable, draws attention wherever it goes, and is a pleasure to drive.
The owner is selling for personal reasons.

I have been an active eBay seller of cars and other items for more than 20 years and maintained a 100% rating during most of that period. Approximately 12 years ago, I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles on the Internet without them leaving the garage.
