- This was the initial year for the Fairlane 500, and this Ford is one of the finest examples you will ever see or own. Factory options include 4-way power front bench seat, power windows, and power steering. All in excellent working condition.
- This Ford Fairlane 500 was restored by the renowned classic auto restoration company, White Post Restorations (WPR), of White Post, VA, approximately 24 years ago and it still looks as fresh as the day it was completed. No detail was overlooked. From the factory decals in the trunk and glove box to the shims aligning the fenders. This Fairlane looks better than when it came off the assembly line 68 years ago. It is a true show car.
- When this Ford was restored, the cost was more than $100,000. The only documentation accompanying the Fairlane is an official appraisal for $89,000 dated 2001.
- The 312 cu. in. V8 rated at 245 h.p. is stock, down to the original style 4100 Holley Carburetor. The Ford-O-Matic transmission shifts smoothly with no apparent slippage or leaks.
- Every inch of the interior was replaced from the dash pad to the headliner. All the factory gauges, temperature controls, and lights function except the clock and radio. A new extra power seat motor is included.
- The two tone red and white 2-stage urethane paint appears flawless and straight. No cracking or bubbling anywhere. Always kept in a climate-controlled garage. All the exterior chrome is in excellent condition. The functional power windows are all tinted and have no chips or cracks.
