Creature comforts include Vintage Air A/C & heat (A/C blows very cold), remote CD changer mounted under the seat with a high quality sound system, and beautiful vinyl stitched interior.
This ’57 Nomad is very solid throughout, shows like it’s new, rides smoothly and it is a pleasure to drive, even on long cruises.
BODY & PAINT:
The 2-stage urethane black paint looks fantastic. There doesn’t appear to be much in the way of bodywork. No rust or bubbling. The Nomad is very straight. When the car was taken off the frame, all new body mounts were added. The floors appear to be original and solid. It appears all the external chrome and stainless steel has either been replated or replaced. It is in show condition.
All the glass is tinted and the side windows go up and down easily as well as side sliding glass. Even the vent trim looks great. New hood springs were recently added.
All exterior lights, turn signals, wipers, brake lights, etc. function normally.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION:
Rebuilt 400 cu. in. Chevy V-8 with about a .030” over bore, mild hydraulic cam, Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold, coated headers, complete dual exhaust system with FlowMaster mufflers. Aftermarket aluminum radiator w/shroud, March pulley system, and detailed engine compartment. New gas tank and fuel system. New wiring throughout.
Transmission is a rebuilt Turbo 400 with a trans cooler. It shifts easily.
INTERIOR:
Complete custom vinyl interior including headliner, seats, door panels, and carpeting. All the inside chrome trim and paint work looks new. The aftermarket sound system with remote 6-disc CD changer and 4-speakers sound fantastic. All the stock and after market gauges function except the speedometer/odometer and clock. Vintage Air controls incorporated into the original location. A/C blows cold.

Stock painted and refinished frame with new power brake system (disc front & drums rear) with stainless steel lines. Manual steering. New front suspension parts including bushings and springs. New rear springs and shocks. Rebuilt stock differential with 3.36:1 posi-traction gears. Wheels are traditional 15” Crager S/S with Dunlop Qualifier radials measuring 215/65R/15 all the way around.
