Sold and transported from Mt. Airy MD to LaPlata, MD. Beautifully detailed frame-off build of a 1957 Chevrolet 210 two door sedan in ‘Dessert Rose’ 2-stage urethane. Power comes from a 283 cu. in. small block Chevy V8 (not the original motor) backed by a Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission and stock rear differential with 3.42:1 ‘open’ gears. Everything works and it runs great!

The owner purchased the car over 44 years ago and completed the build in the mid to late 1990’s. It appears every nut, bolt, and screw were removed and replaced. Approximately 10,000 miles have been logged on the ’57 since its completion.
The body shows no evidence of having any panels replaced or any bodywork performed. The paint is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or scratches. All the chrome was redone or replaced. A new wiring harnesses was installed as well as new weather stripping. Some of the tinted glass was replaced and only along the driver’s side of the front edge of the windshield does the tinting show some bubbling.
The rebuilt 283 V8 is basically stock except for a mild hydraulic cam, Holley 600 cfm carburetor, Edelbrock intake manifold, and Chevrolet Corvette valve covers. It is still running a points ‘type’ of ignition with a generator. The dual exhaust system runs “Smithy” type mufflers.
The interior compliments the Desert Rose paint with a similar color cloth and white upholstery which is even continued into the trunk. All factory gauges and dash lights function as well as the wipers, tachometer and aftermarket AM/FM/Cassette player. Even the shift selector has been changed to accommodate the Turbo 350 Trans.
The suspension is stock except for power brakes with discs up front and drums in the rear. Sway bars were added both front and rear with polyurethane bushings. Please note the steering is manual and NOT power. Wheels are 14” Rally’s with 225/70R/14 B.F. Goodrich radials. There are no caps or rings for the wheels.
This is one beautiful ’57 Chevrolet whose frame-off restoration still looks show worthy and is also an ideal classic for cruising just about anywhere.
