Present owners bought the car over 40 years ago shortly after it was repainted, had a new top installed, and the interior was redone. The actual mileage on the car is not known because the odometer has not been working since, they purchased the car. They believe it has been driven less than 4,000 miles during their ownership going to local car cruise events.
Mechanically, the 283 V8 starts easily and runs smoothly. Recent work includes the carburetor being rebuilt, cooling system flushed, and the oil changed. Dual exhaust was added, and the power steering was rebuilt about 12 years ago. There does appear to be an oil and a transmission pan leak, not sure where. Otherwise, the car steers and shifts fine.
The interior is in good condition with no noticeable tears or rips in the upholstery. Currently, the power top does not work, but it did at one time. The padding on the dashboard was added by a prior owner and looks good. The factory gauges function, but the gas gauge does not register correctly. Speedometer functions, but odometer does not, radio and heater controls do not work.
Exterior glass is in good shape except for a ‘Bebee’ hole in the windshield (see photo). There is some bubbling on the vent window glass. Windows roll up and down easily. Exterior chrome is in good to fair condition.
Outside lights including brake and turn signals function normally.
The paint is starting to show its age and there is some bubbling on the lower sections of the doors (see photos). All the floors appear solid, but the extent of bodywork is unknown.
The car is being sold as part of an estate and there is limited documentation.
