PLEASE NOTE….ALL BIDS AND OFFERS MADE ON ANY VEHICLE(S) WILL FOLLOW EBAY’S PROTOCOL OF PURCHASING. THIS MEANS THAT ONCE THE BID OR OFFER IS MADE OR ACCEPTED THE BUYER AGREES TO PURCHASE THE CAR IN “AS IS” CONDITION.
- The Crown Victoria was completed a number of years ago after being found in a garage totally disassembled. It appears the body, paint, engine, transmission, suspension (including the brakes), exhaust system, upholstery was redone or new.
- The 292 V8 is stock and runs the factory solid lifter camshaft, a new Holley 2-barrel carburetor, new water pump, late model starter and alternator, manual choke, and a complete tune up was performed last year with points, plugs, wires, and a battery. Also, new fuel lines and a gas tank were added.
- The suspension has new ball joints, bushings, shocks, springs, and aftermarket power drum brakes. The new 15” white wall tires were added less than 150 miles ago. The emergency brake assembly is in place, but it has not been connected to the handle.
- The vinyl white and lavender upholstery looks to be in good shape without any tears, rips, or broken seams. The original steering wheel was refinished recently, and a new aftermarket heater core was also added.
- To select the AOD gears a vintage Hurst 3-speed shift handle is used. The transmission shifts smoothly and has a trans cooler mounted in front of the radiator.
- The paint, bodywork, chrome, stainless, and windows are in fair to good condition. Windows operate smoothly and the glass is in excellent condition. The builder added 1955 Ford Fairlane headlight rims which help accent the stainless side trim. The factory fender skirts are included, but they have not been painted.
- In the way of bodywork, it appears both lower rear quarter panels have been replaced as well as some work was done around each headlight. The car seems very solid with no rust or bubbling evidence.
- Items to note include the emergency brake cable assembly is in place but it’s not connected to the handle. None of the factory gauges function, including the speedometer, so the exact mileage is unknown. The wipers do not work, but the motor is in place. This car originally came with a 4-barrel carburetor and intake manifold but it is not included.
- The Crown Vic starts easily and runs smoothly. The owner is selling for personal reasons.
