This stunning 1956 Chevrolet 3100 “Big Window” pick-up has received a full custom frame off build less than 8 years and 450 miles ago using a late model drive line and suspension for comfort and performance.

NO TRADES

The fuel injected Corvette 5.7L LS1 engine and 6-speed manual transmission are treated to a serpentine belt system, Sanderson headers and a complete exhaust system using Xelorator mufflers w/ 2 ½” tailpipes. A 16-gallon stainless steel gas tank is accessed through the bed.

The all-steel body is straight with an excellent fit and finish to show off the beautiful 2-stage urethane candy apple green metallic paint, along with all new chrome bumpers, door handles, grille, and headlight rims. The glass and weather stripping are also all new. The bed was treated to custom wood slats with a “wrinkle” finish on the bed sidewalls. Taillights are LED.

The sharp looking leather interior features 6-way power seats, leather dash, door panels and headliner. A Dakota Digital dash supplies the necessary gauges such as speedometer, tachometer, oil pressure, fuel, water temperature, and volts. The adjustable chrome Ididit steering column is finished off with a leather wrapped steering wheel. Additional creature comforts include a Vintage Air A/C & heat unit (needs charging does not blow cold) and an AUX stereo.

The stock Chevy truck frame uses a Mustang II independent front-end with coil over shocks custom steering box along with Borgeson steering joints. The rear leaf springs cradle a 9” Ford differential with 3.50:1 posi-traction gears. Stopping power comes from a Wilwood 4-wheel power disc brake system with the booster and master cylinder mounted under the cab. And the ’56 rides on Coys Custom aluminum wheels measuring 18” on the front and 20” rear. The tires are Roadclaw RH 660 with 225/40R/18 front and 255/35R/20 on the rear.

This 1956 3100 looks great, has the power of a late model performance car and handles like it’s on ‘rails. No disappointments.
