DESCRIPTION:
Here is a rare opportunity to complete a 1956 Chevrolet Corvette as a Resto Mod or cruising classic. This particular year Corvette was one of the lowest production years, only turning out 3,467 units. One of the most outstanding features on this car is the 2000 Corvette Torch Red paint with white coves. It looks fantastic. It was applied just over a year ago and is a single stage urethane.

Power comes from a late model 350 cu. in. Chevy V-8 and it is backed by a Borg Warner T10. The rear differential houses 3.23:1 posi-traction gears.
The owner has lost interest in completing the car and needs to sell.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION:
Rebuilt 350 cu. in. Chevy engine with 10:1 forged pistons and 4-bolt main bearings. Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold, HEI ignition, Chrome alternator and new starter. New aluminum radiator with thermostatically controlled fans keeps the engine cool. New exhaust system.
The transmission is a ‘fine spline’ Borg Warner T10 item with a Hurst shifter.
BODY & PAINT:
New front ‘clip’ which is not original. This car was originally a hardtop only and the owner bought a new soft top, but stretched the seams. Braces and hardware are in new condition. The left trunk lid hinge is slightly bent so it is not attached. Also the passenger door needs to have the hinges adjusted and tightened. The hood needs to be adjusted and there are no latch mechanisms. An NOS set of hood release cables and the wiper motor are included.
The exterior chrome does show some age but can be replated. All exterior lights and turn signals function. All the glass appears to be in good condition. Driver and passenger windows need adjusting.
INTERIOR:
New seats, carpeting, Dynomatting, and dash pad have been added. Door panels are new and have power window switches. Gauges were redone and wired. The speedometer/odometer does not work. There is also a Vintage Air A/C and heat system. Additional parts such as the speaker grill and horn ring are also included.
CHASSIS & DIFFERENTIAL:
Frame was prepped and painted. New brake system including lines, hardware, and master cylinder. New springs, shocks, and bushings were installed. Tires are dated and should be replaced.
SUMMARY:
As you can see this is a running vehicle which needs some minor TLC to be completed. Keep in mind that there are not many of these cars still in existence and the ones currently on the market are significantly higher in price. Here is a beautiful 1956 Chevrolet Corvette which can be finished to anyone’s personal taste as a Resto Mod or restored classic.
