Sold & transported from Baltimore, MD to Clearwater, FL.  Sharp looking mild custom 1956 Buick Special two-door sedan in a Maroon “Hot Rod” mat finish. Power comes from a freshly rebuilt 350 c.i. Chevy backed by a Turbo 400 3- speed automatic transmission.

  • The body was stripped and had any rusty areas cut out and new metal welded in place including the floors and lower sections of the doors.
  • The Buick has been nosed and decked, had new front and rear glass, weather stripping and the stainless-steel side trim was refinished. The glass is in good shape except for the driver’s window. Rear windows do not operate. Both front and rear bumpers have been painted and a ’57 Buick front grille has been added.
  • The upholstery, headliner, and door panels are new and done in a 50’s style roll & pleat.
  • Dash has been painted and a ‘retro’ aftermarket AM/FM/Bluetooth Rockford 4-speaker stereo system with a separate CD player and amplifier was added.
  • Aftermarket oil pressure, voltmeter, and water temperature gauges have been added since none of the factory gauges function including the speedometer. New Painless fuse panel and some new wiring.
  • As far as the driveline. The small block Chevy and Turbo 400 were totally rebuilt, and the Buick run, sounds and shifts great. Total mileage since build is estimated at 150.
  • Additionally, a new battery, A/C & heat system were added and function normally. The only recommendation by the owner is to have a larger radiator installed since the car tends to overheat in the mid-summer heat with the A/C running, otherwise no problems.
  • The suspension has new shocks, power steering, power brakes (disc front & drums rear), vintage ladder bars, and new Coker 15” radial tires.
  • This “Special Custom” starts easily, rides good, and performs well. Only some minor work needs to be done to complete it.
  • All of the receipts for the work performed are included along with original fender skirts and a car cover.
