Up for your consideration is this 2-owner 1949 Plymouth P-18 Special Deluxe 4 door sedan with what is believed to be 37880 original miles. The second owner purchased the Plymouth from the original owner in 1960 and used it occasionally for family events and outings. It was even used on a trip to the Midwest back in the late 1960’s.
All of the glass, chrome, and stainless steel are original and have not been replaced or replated. The interior has seat covers installed both in the front and rear, but the door panels are original. As far as the owner knows all of the gauges function except the fuel and radio. Still a 6-volt charging system.
The car has had one repaint approximately 8 years ago in the original color using enamel paint. There appears to be little to no body work. Doors, trunk, and hood shut very easily. The car is very solid and does not show any rust in the floors, trunk, or undercarriage, except for some surface scale. It has always been garage kept.
Power for this Plymouth comes from the original 218 c.i. 6-cylinder flathead with a 1-barrel carburetor and rated at 97 h.p. The transmission is also original to the car, being a 3-speed manual on the column.
PLEASE NOTE THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN STARTED OR DRIVEN IN 2 YEARS. The engine does turn over and it would not take much to have the Plymouth running again.

Around 2011 I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles without them leaving the garage.
