1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster Coupe, Street Rod. Here is a great example of putting the modern power of today into a classic of the 1940’s. Power comes from a 350 cu. in Chevrolet backed by a Turbo 350. Both appear to have been rebuilt, the car starts easily, has no overheating or electrical issues, and rides great!!

The chassis of the Chevy has a stock frame with a 1990’s Camaro front end welded in place. This made the transfer of the power steering and power disc brakes (disc, front; drums, rear) easy. The rear differential came out of a 90’s Camaro too, being a 10-bolt Chevy with 3.23:1 (open) gears. Otherwise, the frame is stock and in good condition.

The 350 cu.in. Chevy is internally stock running 9.5:1 compression ratio pistons along with an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, 600 cfm 4-barrel carburetor, HEI electronic ignition, and coated headers complete the modifications of the engine. Recently an oversized radiator with a thermostatically controlled fan was added and keeps the car running at 180 degrees even in the heat of summer.

Interior was redone in an original style cloth material approximately 10 years ago. No tears, stains, or split seams. New carpeting was added along with Vintage Air heat & defrost. The electric is 12 volts. Only the original speedometer, odometer, and gas gauge function normally. An aftermarket gauge cluster was added under the dash to monitor the water temp, oil pressure, and voltmeter. The clock and radio do not work.

Body and paint are in very good condition. It is a 2-stage urethane burgundy. All of the floors and body panels are solid. The only blemish is on the driver’s front fender near the headlight.

The glass is in excellent condition and the crank windows go up and down easily. Both the inside and outside chrome are very nice too. The only exception appears to be on the left front side of the grill where the chrome had started peeling away and ‘chrome’ tape was added to prevent any additional damage.

Tires are B.F. Goodrich 235/60R/15 front and 255/60R/15 rear mounted on 15” Weld Racing wheels.

PLEASE BUY WITH CONFIDENCE

I have been an active eBay seller of cars and other items for since 2002 and maintained a close to a 100% rating during most of that period. Around 2011 I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles without them leaving the garage. These are private individual owners who do not want to deal with the public and all of the endless phone calls, “Tire kickers”, and other nonsense that goes on when trying to sell a car. They just want someone to sell it!!
