Sold and transported from Crownsville, MD to Somers, Montana. Beautifully restored, all steel, 5-window, 1947 Chevrolet 3100 long-bed pickup. At first glance the 3100 might look like a Street Rod because of the Nassau blue metallic paint, the 350 Chevy V-8, Vintage Air A/C, and Rally Wheels. But upon closer inspection this Pickup still has retained some of the original features when it came off the GM assembly line.

- The complete history of the Pickup is not known. But it appears to have originated and was restored in California because of the updated VIN plate assigned to it. The steel body is in excellent condition and the 2-stage urethane paint shows no visible evidence of rust or bubbling. A one-piece windshield has been installed and the gas tank has been relocated into the nicely refinished bed.
- All the glass and chrome are in excellent condition and the windows roll up and down easily.
- The power for the 3100 is a late model 350 cu in Chevy V-8 treated to an Edelbrock carb and Victor Jr. intake manifold, HEI ignition, oversized radiator with a thermostatically controlled electric fan, and high output alternator. A 2 ½” dual exhaust system using FlowMaster mufflers exits right before the rear differential.
- Backing the small block motor is a Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission, and the differential is a 10-bolt unit.
- The suspension was restored using the original front ‘I’ beam axle with leaf springs but added a Borgenson power steering unit for easier handling. A CPP power brake system was also added with discs up front and drums in the rear.
- The interior uses a re-upholstered stock style bench seat, dashboard, and door panels. But the addition of a Vintage Air under the dash A/C unit helps on hot summer days. A tilt steering column helps for a more comfortable driving position. The radio is a retro classic unit which has AM/FM/USB with two speakers mounted behind the front seat. The factory gauges function, but the speedometer/odometer does not work, so the exact mileage on the build can’t be determined. Present owners have had the truck for 5 years and logged an estimated 1000 miles going to local shows and events.
- The Chevy pickup is a blast to drive and draws attention wherever it goes. Owner selling for personal reasons.
