The Ford’s paint includes custom hand air-brushed flames and figures under the clear on the hood and trunk.
It draws attention wherever it goes, starts easily, runs cool, and is a multiple show winner. Selling for personal reasons.
Body & Paint:
All steel ’41 Ford body with filled fender seams, solid floors, and little to no rust repair. Paint color is a 2000 Mitsubishi ‘Sunset Red’ done in a 2-stage urethane. The graphics of the knight on both the hood & trunk as well as the flames were done by hand and under the clear coat.
All the glass is in good condition, but it should be noted the power window contacts are not good and the passenger window does not go up. Owner usually keeps the windows down in the garage. An emergency door release is located under the trunk. No door poppers.
All exterior lights work as well as the wipers.
Engine & Transmission:
Professionally built stroked 400 cu in small block Chevy to 409 cu in using an Eagle forged piston and crank assembly; Howard hydraulic roller cam (.244/.254 duration); Weiand 177 supercharger with a Holley 4150 750cfm double pumper carburetor; long tube headers, mini-high torque starter, MSD billet distributor with a 6 AL box, Dyno Max mufflers with 3” exhaust exiting to each side. Keeping the car cool is a custom aluminum radiator with thermostatically controlled fans. A 12-gallon fuel cell is mounted in the trunk with a Holley electric pump and Fram in-line filter.
Turbo 400 transmission with 3000 rpm stall converter, shift kit, and B&M rachet shifter.
Interior:
Custom interior uses racing bucket seats with G-Force seatbelts and shoulder harnesses. Custom AM/FM/CD player with 4-speakers and a sub-woofer. Custom dash with Classic gauges including speedometer/odometer, fuel level, oil pressure, water temperature, and voltmeter. Dashboard is hand painted like the exterior. The interior theme continues in the trunk where the battery and fuel cell are located. The nitrous bottles are strictly for show.
Suspension:
Stock frame with Mustang II rack & pinion steering. Power brake system uses disc’s front and drum’s rear. Rear suspension is ladder bar with a narrowed 9” Ford differential using 31 spline axles, 3.55 posi-traction gears, and adjustable coil over shocks. The 15” Vintec wheels use Mickey Thomson 33/21.5/15 Pro street tires in the rear and 195/65R/15 radials up front.
