Sold and transported from Darlington, MD to Albuquerque, NM. 1941 Dodge Street Rod and vintage “Competition Coupe” recreation. This was originally a 4-door sedan (see photos) but was converted to a street legal and nostalgic dragster of a by-gone era.

In the late 1950’s and early ‘60’s drag racers created a class which basically used Fiat Topolino, Austin Bantam, and Model A & B Ford bodies mounted on dragster chassis to create the “Competition Coupe” race class.

The owner and builder of this Rod decided to be more creative and use a Dodge body with all Mopar running gear!! You will notice some creative engineering went into it such as the radiator being mounted in the trunk!!!

The “Coupe” was completed in 2017 and has logged an estimated 2,500 miles. Power comes from a 440 cu. in. Dodge wedge motor with Pro Max aluminum heads and a Hampton 6.71 supercharger with dual Holley 650 cfm carburetors. Shifting is handled with a Chrysler 727 Torque Flight 3-speed automatic transmission which connects to a 9” Dodge truck rear differential with 4.10:1 posi-traction gears.

Please note this is NOT a “show car” and there are flaws. But if you want to get an “eye catching” or “what is that?” reaction when pulling into the local cruise-in or street rod event, this Dodge will turn everybody’s head.
