Power comes from a GM 350 cu. in. crate engine rated at approximately 300 h.p. backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission and 10-bolt Chevy rear differential with 3.42:1 gears.
Creature comforts include power steering, 4-wheel power disc brakes, A/C & heat, Heidt’s rack and pinion front end.
The Chevrolet runs smoothly and quietly. Made to be driven anywhere. Receipts and records for build are included.
The owner is selling for personal reasons.
SPECIFICATIONS
- Body & Paint
- Two-Tone 2-stage urethane paint in Ford Sorbet green and GM Forrest Green metallic. The entire car from the roof, doors and floors have been insulated with Dyna-mating. No ‘mud’ or ‘bondo’ anywhere. Exterior chrome was either replated or new.
- Glass is tinted and not a adhesive film. Halogen headlights and LED taillights. No evidence of rust or bubbling anywhere.
- Engine & Transmission
- Painted and color matching GM 350 crate engine with Edelbrock carburetor and Endurashine intake manifold, ceramic coated ‘block hugger’ headers, high output chrome alternator, HEI electronic ignition, and Carolina Components radiator with thermostatically controlled electric fan. Chrome high performance manual fuel pump with stainless steel gas tank.
- The 700R4 transmission was professionally built and uses a ‘street’ torque converter.
- Interior
- Professionally installed high quality vinyl upholstered seats, door panels, and headliner using an ‘off’ white or cream colored material and dark green carpeting to compliment the exterior colors. The driver’s seat is a 6-way power seat. Custom dash using TPI gauges and a Lokar shifter.
- Pioneer ‘head unit’ with CD player and matching speakers.
- Upholstered and carpeted trunk.
- Chassis & Differential
- Stock frame powder coated with Heidt’s power R&P front end welded in place. 4-wheel power disc brakes, stainless steel brake lines, Chevrolet 10-bolt differential with 3.42:1 (open) gears, leaf springs and sway bar.
- The ’39 rides on 17” Chrome Rocket Booster wheels up front and 18” in the rear from Newstalgia Wheels with Toyo Proxes ST II radial tires. 225/55/17 front & 255/50/18 rear.
