Sold and transported from Newark, DE to Limerick, ME
DESCRIPTION:
1937 Ford Cabriolet Street Rod with a 3” chopped Carson style removeable top. The body is fiberglass by Gibbons with a square tube frame. Exact date of the build is estimated to be early 2000’s and it has only logged just under 10,000 miles on the odometer. Power comes from a 350 cu in Chevy V-8 backed by a 200R4 4-speed automatic transmission, and 9” Ford rear differential. Present owner purchased the car from a dealer approximately 8 years ago without any accompanying documentation of the build. Recent work includes new Radio (with Bluetooth), A/C and cooling system.

SPECIFICATIONS:
Body & Paint:
Gibbons ‘glass body with one-piece removeable Carson style top which is covered in Haartz cloth (like Mercedes-Benz convertibles). Paint is a 2-stage urethane in a silver metallic with pearl essence and black from the beltline up. Door poppers open both doors (no emergency release underneath). Trunk opens with an electric motor using a switch located on the passenger side of the dash. There is a clear 3M film on the front fenders to prevent chipping. All exterior lights, including brake and turn signals work. Body does show some age-related scratches and there is a crack in the right-hand section of the 2-part windshield (see photo). Hood needs a prop rod. Please view all photos.
Engine & Transmission:
Chevrolet 350 cu. in. V-8 with Vortec cylinder heads, Edelbrock Performer intake manifold with a 650-cfm carburetor. It appears to have a ‘lumpy’ hydraulic cam, headers, FlowMaster mufflers w/dual exhaust. Ignition is an HEI unit. New aluminum radiator and Vintage Air A/C & heat system.
Owner indicates the 200R4 transmission has been rebuilt. Uses a column shift on a tilt steering wheel. Transmission cooler mounted on the right-hand side of the frame.
Interior:
Gray and black vinyl upholstery is tastefully done and uses cloth inserts for accents. Does not appear to be any stains, tears, or rips in the upholstery. New stereo system was recently installed with Bluetooth and microphone. VDO gauges include fuel, speedometer/odometer, water temperature, oil pressure, and voltmeter.
Chassis:
Gibbon’s square tube frame with rack & pinion front end, coil over shocks, leaf springs and 1” lowering blocks hold the 9” Ford differential with 3.55:1 gears, power brakes (disc front & drums rear). 17” Billet Specialty wheels with Nitto 225/45R/17 front and 255/65R/17 rear.
