1935 Ford “Dr.’s Coupe” series 48 in the traditional black with a gray mohair interior and powered by the original 221 c.i., 85 horsepower ‘Flathead’ Ford V-8. The Coupe’s body is all steel and looks rust-free including the frame and floorboards. It is believed the car originated from the Marietta, Georgia area. Although the odometer shows almost 56,000 the actual mileage is unknown.

The owner’s history on the Ford goes back only 40+ years in the condition you see it today. The use of laquear paint makes one believe it’s an older restoration. You will see some shrinking and ‘crow’s feet’ in various areas of the car (see photos & video), but no bubbling in the paint is evident. The body is still straight and shiny. The exterior chrome and stainless steel are in excellent condition.
All the original instruments function, except for the fuel level and radio. Aftermarket temperature and oil pressure gauges were added for a more accurate reading. Additionally, the current owner added an electric fuel pump and cooling fan which are operated manually by ‘toggle’ switches under the dash.
Electrically, the Ford is still 6-volt and the lights, heater, and wiper function normally.
The side windows operate smoothly as well as the crank-out windshield, and roll-down rear window. Most of the glass appears to be original except for the quarter windows which are now safety glass.
Recent maintenance includes new brakes (shoes, drums, some lines, and all-wheel cylinders), new water pumps, distributor, and plugs. The only driving issue with the Ford is that when you try to accelerate, it wants to stall. The owner purchased a new Stromberg 97 carburetor but did not have time to install it.
Over the years this Ford Coupe has won multiple trophies at shows in the area and was driven safely on several 100+ mile trips. But since the current owner (who purchased the car almost 30 years ago) has stopped attending these events, he believes it’s time for someone else to enjoy it.

I have been an active eBay seller of cars and other items for more than 19 years and maintained a 100% rating during most of that period. Approximately 10 years ago I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles on the internet without them leaving the garage.
