This show winning “Hugger Orange” Deuce was completed in the mid-1990’s and appeared in The Rodder’s Journal issues #1 & #12.

Within the past several years the current owner has spent countless dollars and hours going through the car installing upgrades and improvements (listed below) so the ‘Highboy’ sits right…..Looks right…..and Drives right.
The Ford is titled as a ‘1932 Ford’ using a VIN starting with #18.
There are no disappointments.
Body & Paint:
- 1932 Ford Roadster ‘glass body by (Dee) Wescott with smooth doors & trunk; recessed firewall; functional cowl vent; and rolled rear lower panel. Rootlieb aluminum hood with original metal 20 louver hood side panels and quick release buttons.
- Original 1932 Ford radiator shell w/ C.W. Moss SS insert.
- The urethane paint is a custom Hugger Orange blend by Sikkens with tastefully done pin-striped scallops.
- Floor pan area painted Sikkens charcoal grey.
- Paint work is still show quality even with a few “age related” marks (see photos).
- Windshield is chopped 2 ½” and uses a fiberglass one-piece top which was re-upholstered in Haartz cloth.
- Headlights are ‘33/’34 Ford and taillights are 1950 Pontiac.

- New Crate motor 350 c.i. / 260 h.p. Chevrolet small block.
- Edelbrock 600 cfm carb

Chassis & Differential:
- The Deuce Factory Frame is color matched to the body.
- Front-end uses a Chromed Vintage Chassis Works 4” (Magnum) Dropped Axle w/Chromed Posies Front Buggy Spring and ’48 Ford spindles.
- Deuce Factory (DF) SS radius rods & 4-Bar.
- Vega Steering Box w/Heidt’s Linkage.
- TCI front stainless-steel panhard bar.
- Custom SS Spreader Bars holding a Polished, Vintage Aluminum Eelco Fuel Tank (empty).
- Rear differential is a 4-bar using a 9” Ford with 28-spline axles and 3.24:1 gears (open).
- DF rear sway bar.
- The brake system is by Alan Johnson’s Hot Rod Shop and uses Kinmont/Wilwood 4-piston disc brake calipers up front with polished & vented finned brake covers. Rear are Ford drum.
- Wilwood master cylinder.
- Wheels are by Eric Vaughn: Front 15”x5 ½” “Real Wheels” & Michelin 145/50R/15 radials. Rear 15”x8” “Trick, Real Wheels” & B.F. Goodrich 285/70R/15.
Interior:
- Ron Francis wiring
- Dash is an Auburn panel with a Magoo insert.
- Naugahyde upholstery by Dave Putnam of CA
- Rodtin seat set back 2” and does not adjust.
- Heater
- IDIDIT steering column w/Banjo style wheel
- Moon series gauges (Tach, Speedo, fuel, water temp, oil pressure, clock, vacuum, volts)
