- 1974 was the last year of the chrome bumpers and dual carburetors for the MGB. Later that same year rubber inserts were installed and eventually in 1975 all chrome bumpers were gone, and black rubber ones were used.
- This ‘B’s history is not well known outside of originally being purchased in Arkansas. Present owner bought it from a dealer in TN without any prior paperwork. The exterior was repainted at some point in the original Teal Blue using a 2-stage urethane. There does not appear to be much in the way of bodywork, but the paint is starting to show its age. Please view all photos carefully.
- The interior appears to have the original seats and there are some broken seams in the driver’s seat. The carpeting was recently replaced, and the top is in excellent condition as well as the tonneau cover. An aftermarket Kenwood AM/FM/CD radio was installed in the glovebox, and it also handles Bluetooth with an external microphone. It is not known if the original radio works.
- All the factory gauges work and appear to give accurate readings.
- Included with the ‘B’ is the original jack, wrench, and spare.
- The MGB is a little stubborn to start and the manual choke needs to be used, but once at normal operating temperature performs well and shifts easily.
- Selling for personal reasons.
