- The fiberglass body, interior, and roll cage (certified to 8.50 et’s) are painted in a 2-stage 2013 Chevrolet Blazer metallic red and look spectacular. The mural on the trunk was hand painted by the owner’s son.
- Power for this Willy’s doesn’t fall short of anything but awesome. Starting with a Dart ‘Big M’ 601 cu. in. Chevy Big Block with forged internals along with Dart polished aluminum heads, ‘Blower Service’ 10-71 supercharger and twin Holley 750 cfm carburetors putting out over 850 RWHP and 821 #ft of torque!!
- Keeping the Willys cool are (2) aluminum radiators (one up front and one underneath) which are activated by temperature or switch.
- To handle all of the power is a ‘Straight’ shift Liberty 5-speed 3100 series with a McCleod dual friction clutch which can handle up to 1000 hp.
- Putting all this power to the pavement is a Moser prepared ladder bar rear suspension with a 9” Ford differential running 3.55:1 gears and a spool.
- Upfront is a traditional but chromed dropped straight axle and leaf springs. No power steering.
- Stopping power comes from Wilwood 4-wheel electric power disc brakes. It also has a parking brake.
- Wheels are polished 15” E/T aluminum mags with Hoosier 26/7.5/15 fronts and 31/16.5/15 rear Sport Comp tires.
- The interior is nicely detailed with swivel side bars, embroidered vinyl seats, CD player and Auto Meter gauges including Speedo, tach, odometer, boost, water temperature, voltmeter, fuel level, fuel pressure, oil pressure and temperature. (see video for pictures of interior).
- The car is street legal and titled as a 1941 Willys with working headlights, turn signals, brake lights, horn, and wipers.
