Family owned since new, this 1961 Cadillac DeVille Convertible Series 62 with less than 50,000 original miles. The Caddie was repainted in its factory Dresden Blue Metallic in the mid 1990’s using a single stage urethane, no bodywork was needed. The factory Ivory top was replaced at the same time. The 390 cubic inch / 325 h.p. Cadillac engine, three speed Hydromatic transmission, and 2.94:1 open differential are original and “numbers matching”.
Electrically, everything works including the power windows, seat, radio, power steering and brakes, turn signals, automatic high-beam sensor on the dash, and of course the power top. The power antenna and clock do not work.
Mechanically the Cadillac was well maintained, it drives great and rides smoothly. A new fuel pump, suspension parts, rebuilt carburetor, and exhaust system where added in the past several years. Car did not come with A/C.
The body, floor pans, and frame are solid, but starting to show their age at 57 years with some surface rust in certain areas. Please view all photos.
The blue leather interior and carpet are original and show some wear.
All the glass and chrome are original and in good condition.
