Beautiful and rare Colonial White 1957 Ford Thunderbird with factory 3-speed manual transmission and overdrive. Other factory options include the power steering, power brakes, power seat, factory seat belts, telescopic steering column and power windows which all function as new.

The T-Bird is believed to be on its fourth owner who purchased the car in 2007 and had a ‘frame on’ restoration performed which was completed in 2009. This included stripping the car, replacing any pitted chrome, and re-upholstering the interior. All bodywork was done using Thunderbird metal panels which were welded into place (see photo). The original Town & Country radio (which is included) was replaced with a newer “factory fit” item.

It is believed that one of the prior owners changed the color from the original Thunderbird Bronze and Bronze interior to the Colonial white. It appears that the body was never taken off the frame, but the engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, and differential have all been rebuilt prior to the current owner. As you can see from the video the oil pressure is very strong. The car shifts smoothly, and the overdrive unit does work perfectly.

All the glass is in excellent condition, chrome and exterior trim is either new or NOS, and the top is a factory ‘non-port hole’ unit in excellent condition. There is also a new white soft top included (never installed).

Original 312 cu.in. / 245 h.p. engine is stock except for the 460 cfm Holley four-barrel carb. Factory four-barrel is included. Current owner also had the rear main seal replaced because it was leaking. Still has a slow drip.

Actual mileage since the restoration in 2008 is estimated at 4500 miles due to speedo cable recently breaking (new cable is included). Total mileage on the car is not known.

PLEASE BUY WITH CONFIDENCE

I have been an active eBay seller of cars and other items for since 2002 and maintained a close to a 100% rating during most of that period. Around 2011 I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles without them leaving the garage. These are private individual owners who do not want to deal with the public and all of the endless phone calls, “Tire kickers”, and other nonsense that goes on when trying to sell a car. They just want someone to sell it!!
