1955 Ford Fairlane Club Sedan powered by a late model Ford 351 c.i. Windsor V-8 and backed by C-4 automatic transmission. Both the engine and transmission were rebuilt 10 years ago and have approximately 10,000 miles on them.

Owner purchased the car 15 years ago when it had the original ‘Y’ block V-8 and cruise-o-matic transmission, but after several years of disappointing performance, he decided to upgrade the driveline to the current 351 and C-4.

The 351 has a mild hydraulic flat tappet cam, edelbrock intake manifold, 650 Holley carburetor, aftermarket headers, 12-volt electrical system, and electronic ignition gives this Fairlane more power on the open road. The C-4 automatic transmission is stock except for a ‘Mustang’ style shifter.

The chassis was left stock but the entire front end was rebuilt with new bushings, bearings, pitman arm, springs, and shocks all the way around. Additionally, new power brakes and hardware were added with discs up front and new drums in the rear. All new fuel and brake lines and gas tank. stock open rear differential. American Racing wheels (14” front 205 x 70R x 14 and 15” rear 205 x 65R x 15).

The body and paint were done before the owner purchased the car 15 years ago and is showing its age. I would classify it as a good ’15-footer’. Please look at all photos carefully. There is bodywork in both rear quarter panels and rust is coming in on both doors and rear valence. The frame is solid, chrome and stainless are in good condition, and electrically all lights and turn signals operate fine.

The interior is also dated but in good condition. After market gauges were added to keep a closer watch on the oil pressure and water temperature. The heater does work, clock and radio do not. All the glass is in good condition and the window regulators operate as normal.

I have been an active eBay seller of cars and other items for since 2002 and maintained a close to a 100% rating during most of that period. Around 2011 I started an online service assisting owners of Classic, Vintage, and Muscle cars to sell their vehicles without them leaving the garage. These are private individual owners who do not want to deal with the public and all of the endless phone calls, “Tire kickers”, and other nonsense that goes on when trying to sell a car. They just want someone to sell it!!
